This was more than a walk than a photography shoot, but worth a visit, overlooking the town of Burnely is a wind sculpture designed by Architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu completed in 2006 and is part of series of sculptures in East Lancashire as symbols of renaissance of the area.
The galvanised steel tree made out of tubular sections is about 3 meters tall, which harness the energy of the wind to produce a penetrating sound covering a range of several octaves, each pipe has been designed and cut with holes located to give the sound. Great place for walks and Car Park located very close if interested in visiting the sculpture Photos: -
