This was trip was for aerial images of both piers as they are within two miles of each other, really like the symmetry and architecture of Boscombe Pier so managed a few shots of this. The sunrise wasn’t very spectacular, it lasted a few minutes before going behind thick cloud and that was that. Boscombe Pier has recently undergone a £2.4 million restoration to make the structure safe and accessible to the public, securing its future for another generation at a time when many of the UK's remaining seaside piers are being left to crumble into the sea At a cost of £2,600 the new Bournemouth Pier was opened by the Lord Mayor of London in August 1880 this was an ideal aerial shot and at 6.00am no public around so safe to fly.
