Talacre Lighthouse also known as the Point of Ayr Lighthouse is a grade II listed building situated on the north coast of Wales,it was built to warn ships entering between the Dee and the Mersey Estuary. It was eventually fell into disuse and was decommissioned in 1884. It is now a privately owned residential property.
Its a great area to explore and the beach is very open and during the summer very busy as its next to a holiday park.
Another early start hoping for a great sunrise but arrived to nothing but clear and boring and as the sun rose was just a very bright blue sky, and suddenly every one appeared walking their dogs so got a few aerial shots before it got busy then setting up in the dunes with a Lee 15 stop ND filter to make something of a shot of this lighthouse.
Great location and certainly go back, here are a few from the day:-
