Ok the Alarm went of 4.45, Trip No2 to the Peak district, Sunday morning travelling up the M1 toward Sheffield, really want to capture the sunrise this morning. This is our second visit, and today it was at the beautiful Ladybower Reservoir and the road bridge that crosses over part of the reservoir, having checked the sunrise position I new where I wanted to be. Sun was set rise at 7.30 and it was only 7.00am and with four miles to go I couldn't see 100yds in front of me the cloud and mist was so low.
We arrived at the bridge and you can park at the top and walk 50 yards to the water and bridge, no Sun but it was beautiful, the reflection in the water was perfect. managed a few shots here and then sent the drone up for a different perspective. It was so quiet only a few dog walkers and the odd person jogging a really stunning location. We had a passed a pub serving breakfast on our way in about a mile from here serving breakfast aptly named “Ladybower Inn” so we headed back there for a healthy english breakfast and a fresh mug of coffee. With that we headed for the visitors centre at Derwent Dam and parked we walked round part of the reservoir and Dam the weather was a lot brighter now and managed a few more shots i was pleased with. I put the drone up and managed some great shots of Derwent Dam the water so smooth no wind it looked like the largest infinity pool in the world. I didn't get the sunrise but a great day and location Ladybower Inn - SA33 0AX Derwent Dam Visitors and parking Parking - S33 0AQ Youtube - Derwent Valley https://youtu.be/TGx_mW_t35o Love you, Love life
