Silverstone Classic (21-23 July) three days of unrivalled entertainment with big crowds, and great paddock access at any such event, not to mention the massive range of off-track activity. so it was weekend of camping and motorsport and great British weather, camp site at Silverstone for this event is actually on the circuit with great facilities, food, bar and decent permanent toilets and shower blocks, a free shuttle tractor runs you back and forwards to the track, you can also jump on a shuttle bus to get you anywhere around the track. Its endless motorsport all week end and because its open stadiums you can go anywhere ideal for photo opportunities my main lens was my trusty lightweight Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5, its a true petrol head weekend with proper sounding F1 cars like Nigel Mansell’s 1992 British Grand Prix-winning Williams FW14B and flame-spitting, Spa 24 Hour-winning Ford Sierra RS500, unfortunately the British weather wasn’t the best but still a great weekend of motorsport and photography combined well worth doing!
